About Us
Our Studio:
We currently have 7 grand pianos and 10 uprights in our lesson facilities. We also have three keyboards that use electronics and computerization to enhance lessons. The quality of our pianos is such that some students rent them for personal practice.
The professional setting of our studios gives students the camaraderie of other music students and professionals working together in their musical growth. The Eden Prairie facility has 21 individual studios. At the Eden Prairie facility, we also have our in-house Recital Hall where we offer students an opportunity to demonstrate their musical progress through performance. During the day, this hall doubles as a classroom for toddlers and pre-schoolers to learn music through the Music Together Program®, which is based on children and adults listening and participating in music together.
Our Staff:
Our professional staff of instructors has committed themselves to their musical career through advanced training. Many perform with amateur and professional groups in the area. Several instructors have recorded CDs, so they are familiar with the performance aspect of music as well as providing excellent instruction. They are well-equipped to help you realize your musical dreams regardless of age.
Currently there are 2 instructors with Ph.D.'s, 1 studying for his doctorate. 13 more have Master's degrees, and 2 others are in progress on that degree. The other 19 have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. They have also committed themselves to the practice of teaching these passions and techniques to others through our studios.
The number of instructors (currently 39) and individual lesson rooms (21 in Eden Prairie and 7 in Plymouth) allows us to be flexible in scheduling your individualized music instruction, even to the point of possibly scheduling multiple lessons during one scheduled time for friends and family members. Our office staff is available to help you with scheduling and payment options. Our system is designed to allow the instructor to teach, rather than take your lesson time or that of others dealing with the many details of running a lesson studio.
Our Programs:
Gift Certificates, lesson packages for beginners, family discounts, ability to schedule more than one lesson at a time at our studio, and musical environment of our studios have all been mentioned as positives for our method of music eduation. All of these components work together to give you the best possible experience and growth through your music lessons at our studios.
Payment of tuition ensures a regular time slot from a trained, valued instructor for continuous instruction. You may start in the middle of a session at the single lesson price, and then your time is secured for the following session. If an instructor must miss your scheduled lesson, every attempt will be made to find a substitue so regular lessons may be held. If one is not available for your scheduled time and your instructor is unavailable for make-ups, we will issue a credit toward the next session's tuition.
